- One might use the gift of tongues to build themselves up on their most holy faith, but its real importance is found in being able to pray for loved ones when you don't know how to pray.
- One could use the gift of tongues to give thanks to the Lord, and the giving of thanks to the one who gave so much to us is extremely important and who better to form those words in your mouth than the Holy Spirit who is Jesus' representative in the earth today, however, the giving of thanks pales in comparison to being able to release the Living Water into the earth.
- The gift of tongues can be used to keep yourself immersed in the love of God, but to be able to worship the Father in the only way that He will receive worship is a much more blessed use of the gift.
- To be able to speak mysteries to God through the gift of tongues is an incredibly awesome experience, but not nearly as awesome as bringing a message to God's Church straight from His very heart.
- Using the gift of tongues to overcome the flesh and soul, clearing the way for one to walk in the spirit with God, is incredibly wonderful, but not nearly as important as obedience to the one commandment Jesus issued to Christians.
- Through obedience to Jesus' commandment to wait for the baptism with the Spirit, we receive the gift of tongues, and through honoring and respecting this holy gift, we receive power to witness of Jesus' resurrection, but that is not nearly as important as witnessing the love of God as it pours out of our bellies to a lost humanity.
- To be able to pray for loved ones when you don't quiet know how to is a great gift, but not nearly as great as being able to pray for perfect strangers according to the will of God, but neither measure up to the power of intercession wielded through this gift.
- If one were to speak in tongues more than the Corinthians they would be approaching Paul's use of the gift and perhaps a greater anointing.
- To give thanks to God in your natural language is certainly good, but not nearly as good as the giving of thanks in tongues, for to yield to your natural understanding is not nearly as good as yielding to God's.
- Similarly, to pray with your understanding is definitely beneficial, but the Holy Spirit knows your needs intimately better than you yourself do and can articulate those needs to the Father better than you, yourself, can.
- Jesus calls the baptism with the Spirit God's gift to the Church and God only gives good gifts, which means, there is a whole lot of good to be gotten from the gift of tongues.
- The most incredible thing about the gift of tongues is how easily it flows out of the belly, unless you consider the overwhelming joy that comes from allowing it to flow like a river.
- The most incredible thing about the gift of tongues is that while you are speaking it you are working a miracle, unless you consider that speaking the gift blesses your heavenly Father, who gave the gift to you, the same heavenly Father who loved you enough to to send His Son to experience all the hardships of living as a man, suffering, and dying in your place.
- The most incredible thing about the gift of tongues is how there seems to be no power associated with it at all even though the Word of God tells us the exact opposite is true: Great power comes through its use.
- If one were to use the gift of tongues to pray for loved ones that would be great, but not nearly as great as building up yourself on your most holy faith.
- To worship the Father in the Spirit is incredibly awesome but not as important as keeping yourself immersed in the love of God.
- The point is, each benefit of the use of tongues is incredibly important, wonderfully awesome and good x ten. What we need is a whole lot more people taking advantage of the benefits of speaking in tongues. Can you imagine what it would be like to attend a church where each and every member has been careful to keep themselves immersed in God's love all week? Or what would happen if every member had spent the week working miracles by allowing the gift of tongues to flow out of their bellies as rivers?
"One can put a thousand to flight, but two can put ten thousand." In God's economy, it is a matter of multiplication, not addition.
